Located in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, the 35-acre Lance Estate Cold Brook is located within the Highlands Preservation Area, an area of statewide conservation concern.
The estate has a headwater stream of the Cold Brook which flows into a public drinking water supply in the Tewksbury Township region.
The Lance Estate also provides habitat for the NJ endangered red-shouldered hawk as well as threatened coopers hawk and barred owl. The property will be open for public recreation and managed by a partnership between New Jersey Conservation Foundation and Tewksbury Land Trust.
OSI lent $1 million towards this $1.25 million project.
