Conservation Capital Funds Map 2015
To be successful, the land conservation movement needs tools
and strategies in order to protect critical open spaces. OSI
brings practical solutions to the land use challenges facing
practitioners, funders and policy-makers. In 2015, OSI made one grant through its Resilient
Landscapes Catalyst Fund and one through the Delaware River Watershed
Protection Catalyst Fund.
OSI provided $666,985 in 5 grants totaling 848 acres, valued at close to $5,042,288 in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
OSI made grants totaling $590,000 to three land trusts for projects totalling 1,694 acres valued at $6,400,649. This includes an award to the Trust for Public Land for the Mosiers Knob project which was awarded in conjunction with a grant from the Delaware River Watershed Protection Fund.
OSI made a $53,000 grant to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Resources Division to protect the Pigeon
Mountain Southern Timber tract of 343 acres. The project is valued at $530,000. We anticipate closing one project by year's end.
In 2015 OSI made four grants totaling $236,545 to protect 9,182 acres of land valued at $4,407,252
Delaware Watershed Fund
In 2015, OSI has made three grants totaling $625,000 to protect 1130 acres of land valued at $6,445,500. This includes an award to the Trust for Public Land for the Mosiers Knob project which was awarded in conjunction with a grant from the Northeast Resilient Landscapes Fund.
