From atop of the Shawangunk Ridge, OSI anticipates opening the Castle Point Carriage Road this spring. We are very close to completion, but we need your help. You’ll be thrilled with the upcoming addition of this historic and stunning path when you next visit Minnewaska State Park Preserve.

The Minnewaska’s Carriage Road system has long been recognized as a world-class public recreational asset right in the backyard of the Hudson Valley. Spanning 35 miles and ideal for biking, hiking, cross-country skiing and horseback riding past sweeping, panoramic landscape views, the roads offer an easy escape into nature for visitors of all ages.

For decades, OSI’s conservation commitment has helped protect and restore these Victorian-era trails to their former glory. Today, OSI is in the midst of a multi-year effort to restore Minnewaska’s threatened carriage road system, and we need your help

Having completed the 2.9 mile Hamilton Point Carriage Road, OSI is now restoring the 4.6 mile Castle Point Carriage Road at a cost of $700,000. Our goal is to raise $70,000 by May 1.

Please help us and make a gift today. Your contribution will show the much-needed community support for our beloved Minnewaska Carriage Roads.
