A Four-Season Gateway to Showcase the Genesee River Gorge Park

The Genesee River tumbles through a deep gorge as it cuts through western New York toward Lake Ontario. This spectacular landscape of waterfalls and forest is the glory of Letchworth, a flagship state park within easy distance of both Rochester and Buffalo. More than 650,000 visitors a year come to see the dramatic effects of time revealed in the rock face of the gorge. With the park’s dramatic natural beauty and rich history, there is a great need for an improved visitor experience at Letchworth.

The Nature Center will connect park patrons to outdoor destinations and nearby trails. Interactive exhibits and programs will help visitors develop their observational skills and guide them to seasonal attractions in the park.
